The Wonder Boy bat is done and our carver Hal Macintosh did an incredible job! Now this bat gives those who rub it additional power to their bat. Home runs at the Green Monster have been increased since the Wonder Boy bat's existence. On Wednesday July 8th 2009 we will be video taping the creation of the Cooperstown Wonder Boy Bat. This bat will be carved starting at 9:00 am, by legendary carver Hal McIntosh. On July 2nd 2009 at about 5p.m. a major storm raced through CASV. A lighting bolt struck the largest tree located at the entrance to the Player Village. It was an 100 foot Spruce tree planted many years ago. When the lighting hit the tree it blew the bark off in three defined spots and shook the ground. Fortunately no one was hurt.
